Medication Administration

All licensed child care providers who administer medication are required to successfully complete the state approved Medication Administration training every 3 years. This course curriculum was developed by Healthy Child Care Colorado to help child care providers safely administer medication. Qualistar Colorado maintains the database of child care providers who are current with their state approved medication training. As well as the database of the approved medication administration RN and MD trainers.  

Course Content:

• Medication overview
• Safe handeling and storage of medication
• Administration of Oral and Topical medications
• Emergency medications for server allergy
• Inhaled medications
• The required medication authorization and documentation

Cost of $45 per student includes all training material, each individual student's Qualistar registration, and a completion certificate. Maximum of 15 students per class.
